It appeared for the most part of the season that the Foxes would win the title handily, especially in light of Ipswich Town’s slump.
And everything appeared to be going in their favor given the caliber of players they have. It hasn’t quite worked out, though.
As of this writing, the Tractor Boys’ comeback and Leeds United’s league-winning streak in 2024 have knocked the Foxes out of first place.
They could be winning the game, but they can’t expect to win most of their remaining matches, especially with the pressure mounting on them to bounce back and finish in the top two at the conclusion of the season.
The one lesson the play-offs have imparted upon us is that anybody can win, and Leicester won’t want to participate in them.
Before the summer, preparations will begin, and two distinct plans will undoubtedly be developed, with the team either remaining in the Championship or receiving a promotion back to the Premier League.
If they don’t get promoted, a number of important players may leave this summer, according to some.
In light of this, two FLW writers have expressed their opinions regarding whether they believe that a mass departure of Leicester players would occur if they are not promoted, and if so, which players are most likely to be leaving the King Power Stadium.
