Lions will start their starting lineup against the Vikings on Sunday, according to Dan Campbell.
In the regular-season finale against the Vikings on Sunday, the Lions have little to gain: Detroit can only advance to the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs if they win, and regardless of the outcome, they will probably start as the No. 3 seed.
On Sunday, though, Lions coach Dan Campbell says he won’t rest his starters.
When asked if he intended to play the same starters the Lions start every week, Campbell replied, “Yeah, that’s the plan right now, play our guys.” “Our athletes will be prepared to play. They will, I’m sure of it.
Campbell has the mindset of someone who wants to see his football team succeed. Campbell might regret it if a vital Lions starter gets hurt against the Vikings and is unable to play in the postseason. But as of right now, he feels secure in his coaching style.
