Due to the heinous crimes that two of their intelligent players have committed, the New York Giants have suspended them.
Josh Brown, the kicker for the New York Giants, was given six further game suspensions in relation to domestic abuse accusations that were made public last year. ESPN broke the story early on Friday morning, using an NFL text exchange as support.
“New information led us to reopen the investigation,” the league texted ESPN. “I found that there had been a transgression of our personal conduct policy and suspended him for six games, which he accepted without contesting.”
Jerry Brewer: I’ve always enjoyed football, but I’m feeling sick about this NFL season.
Before the 2016 season began, Brown received a one-game suspension for the incident in which he is said to have beaten his ex-wife, Molly Brown.
But in a February interview with Good Morning America, Brown acknowledged engaging in additional violent behavior.
I had touched her, after all. I gave the chair a kick. I restrained her,” Brown remarked. The lowest point of our marriage was when we were held down.
Though Molly Brown had reported to authorities at least 20 violent events involving her now-ex-husband that started in 2009 while she was pregnant, he insisted that he had never struck, slapped, or choked her.
Josh Brown was not charged in relation to any of the occurrences; he was arrested in Woodinville, Washington, on May 22, 2015.
What led the league to reopen its investigation into Brown is unknown, as is the fresh material that the investigators uncovered.
The 37-year-old Brown spent 14 seasons as an NFL player with the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, and St. Louis Rams. His sole selection to the Pro Bowl came after a career-best 2015 season with the Giants.
