In relation to a stabbing that occurred in a park in Wolverhampton, another boy has been charged with murder.

On March 7, at about 430 p.m., Harleigh Hepworth, a 17-year-old from Staffordshire, was discovered in West Park with lethal wounds.

According to West Midlands Police, a 17-year-old who cannot be identified for legal reasons is scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday in relation to Harleigh’s death.

On Monday, a 16-year-old who was also accused of murder made an appearance in the same court and was placed under remand until his subsequent court date.

Detective Inspector Ade George of the force’s homicide section stated: “Harleigh’s family and friends are still in our thoughts and prayers.

“We are still looking into Harleigh’s death, but we have charged two people so far.

“Extra patrols in the area will continue to support everyone affected and offer reassurance to the community.”
