Another terrible news hit the Oklahoma Sooners as Brent Venables has sorrowfully announced…

The Oklahoma Sooners received even more devastating news, as Brent Venables announced with regret.

Brent Venables, the coach of Oklahoma, began the spring practice press conference on Wednesday with some encouraging news.

According to Venables, senior safety/linebacker Justin Harrington’s application for a medical hardship season has been approved by the NCAA.

The traditional Red/White Game will be held on April 20 to cap up the Sooners’ spring practice, which begins on Monday.

After suffering a knee injury early in the previous season, Harrington, a former junior college All-American who has experience at cornerback, safety, and nickel linebacker, will resume practice this spring.

It’s large, Venables remarked. “He’s a really committed man. He is gifted. He has a wide range of abilities. He fits the description of the large, strong, quick, aggressive, physical person you’re always searching for.”

Outside of the football field, the Venables family also shared some positive news earlier in the day. Julie Venables informed the Oklahoman that she had “zero cancer” after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in June.

“Glory to God,” Venables exclaimed. “She no longer has cancer. Get out of her bad situation.”

Along with a plethora of other assistants and support personnel, such as special teams analyst Doug Deakin and offensive analyst Kevin Johns, Venables also verified the appointment of defensive coordinator Zac Alley.
