According to an incident report obtained by the Daily News, Josh Brown’s ex-wife told police on the day of his 2015 arrest that the Giants kicker had physically abused her over 20 times, that she had previously had a protection order against him, and that the abuse had started when she was pregnant with their daughter back in 2009.

The News has obtained reports and 911 tapes that show that police were called to the Brown residence on two separate days. The previous day, Molly Brown, speaking of her 16-year-old stepson, said in a 911 call that the kicker “genuinely got in my son’s face.”

“I became extremely afraid. And I simply went and locked myself in my bedroom once more,” the ex-wife of Brown said over the phone. “They arrived last night and advised calling back if anything further occurred.”

After arriving on the scene, police found they had reasonable suspicion of domestic violence assault and took Brown into custody. According to the report, the kicker initially disobeyed when officers told him he was going to be arrested while he was sitting down. However, he eventually got up when officers lifted his arms. According to court records, Brown was detained on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and was eventually freed on May 23 after posting a $2000 bond.
