The SEC stated on Thursday that Mohamed Wague, a forward for the Alabama Crimson Tide, will miss one game after elbowing Florida center Alex Condon in the back of the head during their game.

The footage of the altercation between Wague and Condon was examined, according to the SEC. When the two players faced off on Wednesday night, they were diving for a lost ball. As the play concluded, Wague was seen in a video that went viral on social media, elbowing Condon in the head. Officials, however, failed to see it, and Condon was given a foul call during the play.

Wague won’t play against Kentucky on Saturday.

“NCAA rules require a suspension for the next regular-season game when a player commits an act of fighting defined as ‘a confrontation involving one or more players, coaches or other team personnel wherein (but not limited to) a fist, hand, arm, foot, knee or leg is used to combatively strike the other individual,’” the SEC stated.
