Deal made: the Nebraska Traveling Softball team has made yet another wise choice.

The first significant offseason addition for the Nebraska softball team has been made.

The Huskers signed two players on Monday, Hannah and Lauren Camenzind, who both declared their intention to transfer to Nebraska softball.

The Camenzind sisters, who were two-time state champions in prep softball at Omaha Skutt, played their first two seasons of collegiate ball at Arkansas.

Arkansas was not able to proceed from the Razorbacks’ own regional earlier this month, despite the fact that the team made it to the NCAA tournament both seasons. After the season ended and a nationally ranked recruiting class was scheduled to join the program, the Camenzind sisters made the decision to use the transfer site.

Hannah and Lauren will now participate in a softball program in Nebraska having ambitious plans for the 2025 campaign. Given the position the Camenzinds can perform on the Husker squad for next season, their presence will be crucial to NU’s hopes of making it to the postseason.
