The loss of a key player by the Indiana Travelers softball team is almost unbelievable.

Terre Haute, Indiana — Play starts on Friday, February 16 at Tennesee State University’s Roar City Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee, where Indiana State Softball will be competing this weekend.

The Sycamores will play five games this weekend. On Friday, they will play Tennessee State at 1 p.m. ET to round off their schedule, which starts at 11 a.m. ET against Western Michigan. ISU will play twice on Saturday. At 5 p.m. ET, they will play SLU, and at 7 p.m. ET, they will play UT Martin. ISU will play one more game versus SLU on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET to cap up their weekend.

Final Outing
Last weekend, the Sycamores kicked up their 2024 campaign in ISU finished 1-4 at the Houston Tournament, losing two games against Houston and one each to Rutgers and Colgate. In a five-inning run-rule victory over Colgate on Sunday, Indiana State won their first game of the season 12-0. For the Sycamores, Lauren Sackett (1-2) earned her first victory of the year after pitching 4.0 innings and giving up only one hit and no runs. In the victory over Colgate, nine Sycamores scored hits on offense. On Sunday afternoon, the Sycamores connected on a weekend-high 13 hits and scored runs in all five innings, with Kennedy Shade leading ISU with three hits and five RBI.
