The key player for Penrith, Nathan Cleary, is now racing against time to see if he can play against the Wests Tigers next week after suffering a little setback in his hamstring injury recovery.

With this weekend’s bye, the Panthers get the week off. They were optimistic that Cleary would recover from his hamstring injury in time for the Bathurst game against the Tigers the following week.

Cleary’s recuperation hasn’t gone as quickly as the team had intended, so it might still be a few weeks before he returns to the paddock. As stated by the Panthers, he hasn’t made the injury worse.

In the next round, the Panthers travel to Townsville to play the North Queensland Cowboys.

In the closing minutes of Penrith’s round three victory over the Broncos at BlueBet Stadium, Cleary sustained an injury.

Due to a hamstring injury, he also missed a portion of the Origin series the previous year.

Bellamy dismisses the rumors from South
Craig Bellamy, the coach of Melbourne, has brushed off rumors that he would run for the South Sydney coaching position in the future.

While his club gets ready to meet Canterbury at AAMI Park on Friday night, Bellamy has not yet stated if this will be his final season as the Storm’s coach or provided an update on his future. Entering his 22nd season at the club, Bellamy was certain that Souths had not made contact with him.
