Good news. A lineman with 71 career starts in inside offensive has been signed by the New York Giants.

The guard positions on the New York Giants’ interior offensive line were a major issue the previous season, thus they were revamped. In terms of snaps, Ben Bredeson, Justin Pugh, and Mark Glowinski are the top three guards. All three players were released by the Giants this offseason; Bredeson signed with the Buccaneers, Pugh is still unsigned but expressed interest in returning, and Glowinski was cut.

Aaron Stinnie, who was signed by the Giants to a $1,292,500-a-year deal, took their spot. The 2018 undrafted free agent is starting his sixth season in the league and is on his third franchise. Thus far, he has participated in 31 games with 12 starts, including 11 at LG with the Buccaneers in 2023.

Jon Runyan Jr. inked a three-year, $30 million contract with the Giants. The former Packers player played his first four seasons in the NFL, having been selected in the sixth round of the 2020 draft. With 50 starts in 67 games (22 at LG and 28 at RG), he has made 17 starts at RG in 2023.
#Giants sign veteran guard Greg Van Roten to a one-year contract: According to a league source, he could earn up to $3 million if he plays half of the offensive snaps, with a guaranteed total of $920,000. Van Roten’s agent, Bill Baldini @BACSports @KPRC2 #NFL, verified the deal.
