With a goal in mind, Jeremy Reaves is starting the 2024 NFL season.

Reaves is prepared to demonstrate why the 2022–2023 campaign was not a “fluke.”

Reaves, a Pensacola Catholic alum, was selected to the Pro Bowl that season for the first time in his career as a special teams starter and was also named an all-pro selection.

Reaves was hoping to build on his success from the previous season when he sustained a partially torn ACL injury in Week 5. ESPN insiders revealed on Wednesday that Reaves had signed a new contract with the Washington Commanders, a move that Reaves later verified on social media.

I will not lie—I am furious. To be honest, last year I was furious. People were saying things like, “Oh, he only did it for a year.” That is alright. Regarding his “mission” for 2024, Reaves stated, “That one year was the only year I have been able to go out there and show what I can really do.” Since I was undrafted, I will be honest with you—I have been angry since the beginning. I will therefore always be angry. That peeve is undoubtedly there on my shoulder. I want to prove to people that this is who I am and that it was not an accident. And that I will always get back up, no matter how many times I fall.
