Breaking down Oregon State football’s offensive depth chart heading into fall camp and…
The Beavers will take to Protho Field on Wednesday for the first of 21 practices leading up to game week. Fall camp is quickly approaching. Trent Bray, the first-year football head coach, will be attending his first camp. His goal is to guide the Beavers to their fourth consecutive bowl game, a record not reached in Corvallis since Mike Riley’s team won four in a row from 2006 to 2009.
For Beaver supporters to get to know, there will be a lot of new players as there are only three returning starters. With fall camp almost upon us, BeaverBlitz examines the attacking side of the ball today and makes our best estimate of the two-deep.

As fall camp gets underway, all eyes will be on the quarterback position because Gulbranson, McCoy, and Johnson are all vying to be the starting quarterback.
Gulbranson has a track record of winning games for the Beavers, and McCoy has excelled at Idaho the past two seasons.
Johnson missed the majority of the spring season due to an injury, but in the little time he did spend on the practice field, he showed himself to be by far the best arm in the group. He has not yet made an impression at the Division 1 level, and After high school, there is a significant advancement. Dom Montiel, Jake Sanders, a transfer from Idaho State, and Wilsonville native Kallen Gutridge, a true freshman, will all contribute depth.
‌
Despite Damien Martinez’s loss, Oregon State still has a potent 1-2 punch in the backfield, so you can expect them to rely heavily on the run game early in the season. Jam Griffin, who spent the 2023 season at Ole Miss after having a stellar season with the Beavers in 2022, is back in the orange and black.
Griffin will be paired with Anthony Hankerson, a transfer from Colorado who, coming into fall camp, appeared to be OSU’s top running back after a very impressive spring camp.
Hankerson is a cunning and strong back with the potential to make a few impressions this autumn. After those two, Oregon State is probably going to depend on either Salahadin Allah or Cornell Hatcher, two true freshmen, or special teams standout Jake Reichle, who has gained twenty pounds since last season.
