TRAGIC NEWS: The chiefs found that he had another dangerous condition.

Due to illness, Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who made waves throughout training camp with a sensational deep touchdown reception from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will miss his second consecutive practice day.

The former Texas Longhorns standout missed practice on Monday. Although the team doesn’t seem to be too concerned about his absences, Worthy hasn’t had much opportunity to improve this summer on the field.

Following his absence from minicamp due to a hamstring injury and his hand jam last week during unofficial practice, the Chiefs’ first-round selection is accumulating a lengthy record of injuries from inactivity.

According to sources, Worthy has excelled above his colleagues and been arguably the finest receiver on the field when he has been able to play. Although the optimum form of this Chiefs attack entails as much development for Worthy as feasible, a little illness shouldn’t worry anyone.

Getting him well and back on the pitch as soon as possible is a top priority because it is apparent that his growth will be hampered if he is unable to practice. Worthy will be an essential component of the team’s preparations given the uncertainties surrounding Rashee Rice’s probable suspension.

Throughout the course of his three-year career, Worthy recorded 197 receptions for 2,755 yards and 26 touchdowns. He never experienced any injuries while playing in college. The rookie is expected to have a tremendous year according to betting odds, but it will be more challenging to begin quickly if he has minimal practice time.

In addition to the unexpected injury to Justin Reid, the Chiefs’ roster has several key players out of action at the beginning of camp. Kansas City needs its players to perform at their best as the race for a possible three-peat really gets underway, or else they risk trailing.
