The Penrith Panthers have added another formidable opponent to their roster, who is…
Daine Laurie has re-signed with the Penrith Panthers for the 2025 season, the club is happy to announce.
Laurie, who returned to the Panthers at the beginning of the current campaign, has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the team.
“I love this club, so it means a lot to me to re-sign with the Panthers,” Laurie remarked.
I played for the Panthers for the first time, and I feel at home here. I’m eager to dominate the remainder of the season and then come back the following year.
Before making his NRL debut for the Panthers in 2020, Laurie—a proud Indigenous man—joined the team in 2017 and participated in the SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, and NSW Cup squads.
In addition to spending three seasons with Wests Tigers (2021-23) and representing the Indigenous All Stars (2023) and Prime Minister’s XIII (2022), the 24-year-old has played 61 games in the first grade.
“We’re happy that Daine re-signed with the Panthers, demonstrating his dedication to the team,” stated Shane Elford, general manager of rugby league for the Panthers.
“Since rejoining the team this season, Deane has taken full advantage of his opportunities, and we are excited about his future development in Panthers uniforms.”
