tragic announcement: Chase Elliott has left NASSCAR Racing.

Hendrick Motorsports and Chase Elliott are a team that is here to stay. Along their journey, the 2020 Cup Series Champion and his team have experienced many significant moments together. This includes six consecutive years as the most popular driver in the NASCAR Series, Elliot’s first race win, and his first Cup Series championship. Along with Chase Elliott celebrating his first race win of 2018, Hendrick Motorsports also commemorated their 250th win together.

He has a racing heritage; his father was the renowned NASCAR driver Bill Elliot. One of the rare pairs where both members have won a championship is the father-son team. In addition to the Cup Series, Chase Elliott has left his mark in the Xfinity Series as well.

Elliott won multiple races in 2014 to become the Xfinity Championship at the young age of 19. In the Truck Series, he has also competed and won three races thus far. His prowess was immediately apparent as a young child, winning every series in which he participated.

Elliott has been a full-time driver for Hendrick Motorsports since making his debut in 2015. It should come as no surprise that Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports agreed to a multi-year contract extension in 2022.

The team and the driver duo announced a five-year contract extension during the 2022 Daytona 500 weekend. Elliott will therefore continue to drive for his team through at least the 2027 campaign.

He has participated in every Cup Series season with Hendricks and intends to finish his career with them. He is currently in his tenth season. Elliott is a key member of the group and played a major role in the 2017 rebranding of the group. 2018 marked the signing of his prior deal with the team, which was Elliot’s first victory in the race. The four-year deal was scheduled to end following the 2022 campaign.
