Slugger Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees has reacted to his personal hitting coach’s criticism of the squad.

The judge stated, “It doesn’t involve me, to be honest,” as reported by Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. It’s a remark from another person. I will not speak for anyone else when I comment. I have no influence on the actions of others. I have no control over it. There is nothing I can do for you.”

Judge’s personal coach, Richard Schenck, described New York’s offensive player development as “terrible” on social media on Thursday.

Judge has prospered despite the Yankees’ 5-13 record in their last 18 games. The 32-year-old had an amazing 1.136 OPS during that time, hitting.344 with seven home runs, 21 RBIs, and 21 runs scored.

But New York’s problems haven’t stopped. The Yankees still have an admirable 54-35 overall record, but they are now trailing the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East race due to their recent decline.

Juan Soto’s first season in the Bronx has gone very well; he has a slash line of.300/.438/.568 with 21 home runs and 63 RBIs. Judge and Soto were just selected as All-Star starters, but the Yankees have recently had trouble getting the rest of their lineup to produce.

With a.243 batting average in June, New York was 17th out of all major league teams (MLB.com).

Aaron Boone, the manager of the Yankees, didn’t seem to be disturbed by Schenck’s remarks, though.

According to SNY’s John Healy, Boone stated, “People are going to say things, and certainly everyone is entitled to their opinion.” “I know people are going to take shots and stuff like that, especially when you wear this uniform and go through a hard time. You can’t become really engrossed in it all.”

Even though New York still has plenty of time to turn things around, if the Yankees keep losing while Judge is having a great season, there will be more people asking questions about the franchise.
