McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has stated that Red Bull ought to do more to persuade Max Verstappen to follow the racing regulations.

Last week, during the race for the lead in the Austrian Grand Prix, Verstappen and Lando Norris clashed. Verstappen received a 10-second time penalty after the stewards found him to be at fault.

But when Verstappen attempted to pass him throughout the race, Norris accused him multiple times of disobeying the laws of racing by braking too soon and leaving the course to maintain the lead.

Brown stated that, although he relished their altercation over the lead, the officials ought to have intervened earlier. He contended that having a permanent set of stewards at each race would help F1 make decisions more consistently.

But he said that Verstappen is not the only driver who has broken the rules, and that in order to stop it, Formula One must change the way its regulations are applied.
