Oklahoma appeared invincible going into the season, having won 53 straight games and three consecutive national titles.

The Sooners’ 71-game winning streak was ended on March 3 by Louisiana, which had started the season 18-0.

Similar to what the Sooners have been doing over the past several years, OU’s hitters only struck out once during the whole series against Houston last weekend, including two run-rule victories.
