If he is not fired, I will leave the San Antonio Spurs head coach, as he has a misunderstanding with his star player.

Gregg Popovich, the legendary coach of the, is either intentionally tanking or is having one of the worst coaching seasons in sports history.

If he is not fired, I will leave the Spurs head coach because he has a misunderstanding with his star player. I debated this internally the other night, thinking maybe Richard Jefferson was correct and maybe I was naive and Pop would be greedy and stupid enough to tank during Victor’s rookie season.

However, my gut tells me otherwise. I keep leaning toward the foolish contrarian; the Spurs head coach appears set on going in the other direction, and he’s definitely too “classy” to lose twice in a row. (Edit: I had another change of heart. Nobody is this awful as the Spurs are.) In either case, Pop must either retract his statement or leave.

Maybe he needs to spend more time with his family if Spurs brass can’t help him get over himself. Exploring the globe could also be effective.

The ownership of the Spurs ought to step back from this situation—anything at all. Pop needs to be pulled from the sidelines as soon as possible because his decision-making is lacking if he doesn’t start following the obvious.

and this young team’s lack of coaching is ruining it. Above all, this catastrophe is occurring in Victor Wembanyama’s first season.

Please pardon my ignorance before I go any further. I was confused between tanking and making incredibly dumb and foolish coaching mistakes.

You know, I’ve been a longtime Spurs fan, and I can’t even count the number of times I’ve witnessed Pop adopt the opposing strategy—to the team’s harm.
