Amazing Discover How Donald Duck Became Wolverine: A Sneak Peek at the Disney-Marvel Comic

When it comes to his specialty, which isn’t very slice, he is the best. Marvel Comics is narrating a brand-new DuckTale in Marvel & Disney: What If…? Marvel Comics is asking “what if” Donald Duck’s Uncle Scrooge turned into a Thanos-like supervillain in his own one-shot comic. Wolverine #1 was Becomen Donald Duck. In honor of their respective 50th and 90th anniversaries, the one-shot mashes up Marvel’s Wolverine of the X-Men with Disney’s Donald Duck, giving Old Man Logan a Disney twist. The ill-tempered bird uses his unbreakable adamantium claws to slice apple pie when Hawkeye (a Marvelized Mickey Mouse) enlists the help of his old friend to take down the peg-legged Pete-Skull.

Arriving on newsstands on July 31st, the crossover comic revisits some of the most memorable episodes in the berserker duck’s career, including his stint with Weapon X and the Uncanny X-Men, and presents Donald-Wolverine along with other reinvented Disney and Marvel mashups like Mickey-Hawkeye and Goofy-Hulk.

According to the official summary, “Pete-Skull turns Duckburg into a wasteland devoid of super heroes, and you travel to a near future where chaos reigns.” The only person who can reverse the tide is Old Donald Duck, but he has given up on his combat days and now much rather nap and eat apple pie from his grandmother than take on evildoers. Donald-Wolverine must choose as Mickey-Hawkeye knocks on the door with Goofy-Hulk at his side! Will he decide to save the world after taking a journey down memory lane? Or will the promise of a lengthy siesta in the hammock in the garden entice him to refrain from popping his claws one last time?”

“Donald Duck and Wolverine are two characters that seem almost impossible to make coexist, but in fact they possess very similar personality: they are both hot-tempered and unlucky, but in adversity they do not lose heart and always show that they have a big heart,” Luca Barbieri, the writer, stated. “Once this point was focused, writing the story turned out to be easy and fun.”

“I always thought Wolverine’s sideburns only looked good on Uncle Scrooge, but when I drew them on Donald Duck I realized they fit him perfectly too,” artist Giada Perissinotto continued. His shaggy appearance is complemented by his thick sideburns and pointed head tufts. I would do Donald Duck with Wolverine’s hair all the time now because I had so much fun doing it that way.”
