Tennessee’s Nashville Jackson Chourio signed the kind of deal that athletes dream of for years before ever taking a pitch in the major leagues.

After the Milwaukee Brewers finalized an eight-year, $82 million deal on Monday, the 19-year-old outfielder said, “I’m definitely going to meet the expectations.” This is the most money guaranteed to a player without major league experience.

In addition, Milwaukee reached an agreement to sign left-hander Wade Miley to a one-year contract worth $8.5 million, which includes a 2025 mutual option and could total $24 million over two seasons. This year, Miley will be paid $7 million, with a $12 million option that includes a $1.5 million buyout.

Jaison, his 18-year-old brother, signed a $1.2 million bonus deal with Cleveland in January 2022. While playing for the Arizona Complex League Guardians and Class, he hit.321 with one home run, 25 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases.
