Following the game, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid gave a post-game injury update, downplaying worries about the severity of the injury and emphasizing that it was a “stinger.” While Kelce persevered, wide receiver Skyy Moore had a more significant problem that required additional testing due to a swelling knee.

In addition to a bone bruise that kept him out of action in Week 1 and an ankle ailment in October that interfered with his practice sessions, Kelce has experienced health issues this season.

The Chiefs had more obstacles to overcome on Sunday’s game in addition to the injuries to running back Isiah Pacheco and left tackle Donovan Smith. Joshua Williams, a cornerback, was added at the last minute to the injury list because of his illness.
