Jocelyn Aloha Pumehana Alo has finally been disappointed by her team by receiving a shocking sack note. It is indeed heartbreaking news.

After a surprise sack notice, Jocelyn Aloha Pumehana Alo has finally been let down by her squad. The news is definitely devastating.
Jocelyn Alo gave a fist pump to her fans in the stands, including her parents, Levi and Andrea Alo, as she reached third base and headed home mere seconds after creating history.

Head coach of Oklahoma Patty Gasso grinned as she waited for the redshirt senior in the third base box, giving her a fist bump reminiscent of before her Sooners teammates surrounded her at home plate.

Bob Coolen, the head coach of Hawaii, came up to the Sooners who were celebrating Alo’s achievement and ceremoniously placed a white-flowered lei around the star slugger’s neck. The lone coach that declared his team will not pitch around the USA Collegiate Softball Player of the Year in the Rainbow Wahine Classic is Coolen, who has led the Rainbow Warriors for 33 years.

Alo broke through the door and galvanized an entire island in the first game he was given the opportunity to hit since he approached the NCAA career home run record doorway.

Jocelyn Aloha Pumehana Alo was able to finally bid adieu to the record books by smashing a record 96 career home runs, all because to Coolen’s competitive edge. Her home shot to right centerfield in the sixth inning of No. 1 Oklahoma’s (18-0) 11-0 run-rule victory over Hawaii (5-8) eclipsed the record of 95 home runs held by former OU slugger Lauren Chamberlain.

Alo stated, “I was just kind of staying normal and staying within my routine walking into the box.” “I also knew it was out when the ball was hit. I wasn’t giving trying to hit a home run more thought.

And I think that’s a big part of what makes us Sooners different from other teams—that we don’t concentrate on trying to hit home runs. We simply concentrate on the procedure while attempting to smash the ball hard and place it on the bat.

OU was ahead 9 to 0 at the time thanks to Alo’s two-run home run. She went on to complete the game 3-for-3 with three RBIs. She broke Chamberlain’s previous record almost ceremoniously, and she accomplished so in front of her entire family and home state.

Alo punished pitcher Ashley Murphy when she attempted to lift a pitch over the plate. She paused to watch the ball shoot into the night as it blasted off her bat. It finally thumped onto the ground beyond the centerfield gate, after floating past the fence and becoming absorbed by the brilliance of the outfield lights.

BYU pledge When Alo hit home run number 96, sophomore infielder Tiare Jennings’ family was seated in the grandstands alongside Ailana Agbayani, the daughter of former Major League Baseball player Benny Agbayani.

Agbayani, who used to play for Alo’s old club team, the Orange County Batbusters, which was situated in Westminster, California, called coach Mike Stith right away. Coach Stith was in the middle of cleaning his Idaho home when his former player reached the home run pinnacle.

“Everything becomes the culmination of all that (she) has worked for,” Stith stated late on Friday night to The Daily. The key to all of this is that she is the one who has put in the time and effort to become better. She has responded, done the work, and is the one who has gone on to get better. I’m quite pleased of her and it’s good to see that she has elevated things to a new level.

Alo was intentionally walked 18 times prior to her previous home run in the Houston Classic on February 20. These walks were unnecessary, given the Sooners ran out seven opponents in that interval. The eight games that Alo needed to hit her eighth home run of the year were matched for her second-longest career slump.

Alo persevered as the role model for all aspiring softball players in Hawaii, even though she was bearing the burden of the record. For girls like Agbayani, who are from the state, Alo represents the island. They watch her play softball on TV or from the stands and hope to be like her when they grow up.

According to Stith, “she is the face of softball in Hawaii.” Many young girls look up to her and dream of being like her. And it’s very amazing, in my opinion, how she was able to bear that weight and responsibility. People are unaware of how important softball is in Hawaii. She truly is a hero. Jocelyn is bearing the burden of many island children who are denied opportunities.

Alo and her crew went to Hau’ula Elementary school for a promotional event on Wednesday, the day before the Sooners’ tournament game versus Baylor on Thursday. The Sooners had arrived in Honolulu. Alo was promised by OU’s coach a chance to play in her home state during her freshman season, and Gasso and athletic director Joe Castiglione made the trip happen for the Sooners this season.

With the majestic mountains of Hau’ula towering behind her, she stood on the field where she had practiced with her father and shed tears as she spoke about the importance of representing Hawaii in softball.
