During her six seasons in Oxford, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has brought Ole Miss women’s basketball back into the national spotlight. Under McPhee-McCuin’s direction, Ole Miss continues to improve with each season. In 2023–24, the Rebels set a program record with 12 SEC victories and made their 20th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to leading the Rebels to conference victories that set a program record, McPhee-McCuin became the second coach in program history to win 100 games as Ole Miss’ head coach in 2023–2024.

Throughout the conference season, Davis and Scott showed no signs of slowing down. In fact, for the first time since 1989, the two Rebels were recognized as First Team All-SEC in the same season.

The Rebels broke several program records thanks to McPhee-McCuin’s standout defense, including a single-season record of 190 blocks broken by Ole Miss. A school record for the most points in a single season was also set by keeping 11 opponents under 50.

The Rebels easily defeated Marquette in the First Round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, giving McPhee-McCuin her third tournament triumph as head coach.

The Rebels’ 19th NCAA Tournament appearance and their shocking advancement in 2022–2023 made a lot of noise around the nation.
