The former star of the Netherlands is keen to contribute to his team this season, but he acknowledges that he might not prevail in his battle with injuries.

“I am making every effort,” he stated to the official club website. If the outcome isn’t what you were hoping for, you may have to accept it, but it’s not easy.

“How are things going? Those are the questions you would rather not respond to right now. It is disappointing that things are not going well. I’m not able to adorn it further than that.

“I still have issues with both of my calves. From one to the other, it has changed. Among them got better after a while, and that’s when I started experiencing issues with the other. Right now, it is really challenging. We need to investigate the possibility that things could improve once more.

Simply put, it’s a tough choice. I said at the beginning, “I’m going to try my hardest and do everything I can, but I’m not sure if it will work.”

“It may not seem like it is working right now, but I still have the elite athlete inside of me.” I don’t believe in giving up.

It has been great, it is very unfortunate, but at least we have tried everything. Maybe that is all I have to say. That’s simply the situation. Not just myself, but everyone in the club puts a lot of effort and effort into it.

“We are going for it, but I’m not saying that 100% of the time just yet. I seem to be in a transitional phase right now.

“To give it time to heal, I have to take it easy.” However, eventually, I will must decide: should we proceed, you must devise a strategy for the recuperation process. In a few weeks, there will be greater clarification.
