Officers were told by a woman claiming to be Omenihu’s girlfriend that he had “pushed her to the ground during an argument,” even though she had refused medical attention and there were no obvious wounds.

He ultimately received a six-game suspension from the NFL for breaking its personal conduct rules.

Omenihu, who played in all 17 games and started three for San Francisco last season, finished with four and a half sacks. He was still eligible to go to training camp. Prior to starting his ban, he also made appearances in Chiefs preseason games.
