Unbelievably: we just learnt about his death now, Green bay packers head coach…

According to his obituary on Berna Funeral Homes, Larry Beightol, the offensive line coach for the Green Bay Packers from 1999 to 2005, passed away on Thursday, April 4, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, from heart failure, dementia, and complications from diabetes. Beightol was eighty-one. Beightol joined the Packers in 1999 after being hired by head coach Ray Rhodes, but he played under Mike Sherman, who succeeded Rhodes, for six of his seven seasons. Four future Packers Hall of Famers were among the linemen he tutored: tackles Mark Tauscher and Chad Clifton, guard Marco Rivera, and center Frank Winters. Beightol’s years as line coach also saw the selection of Rivera and center Mike Flanagan to the Pro Bowl.
