The head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs nearly developed cancer as a result of yet another serious injury.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ organized team activities (OTAs) are now officially complete as of Thursday afternoon. In his final press conference of the offseason, head coach Andy Reid revealed some significant injury updates. Prior to the training camp that begins next month, Reid stated the following regarding a few of the Chiefs in question:
Thuney sustained a pectoral muscle injury during the playoffs the previous year. He was not there when OTAs were examined by the media. Reid stated, “Joe is getting better and working extremely hard.” “We must observe the precise operation of the apparatus. I’m not certain. He’s made good progress, but we still need to acquire the doctor’s clearance and go through the whole process. He’ll be one of those men who is probably right on the edge of being able to get past the healing phase or not. Unless there is an unanticipated setback, Thuney should be prepared for the regular season, according to Reid.
During the first few days of OTAs, Worthy suffered a hamstring injury that limited him to watching from the sidelines. Regarding his prospects of starting training camp on the field, Reid sounded upbeat. Reid stated, “He ought to be able to [start camp].” “He will stay here to receive therapy. He is improving. He will receive treatment, and we’ll watch to see how he recovers from it.
