Dylan McIlrath, a fan favorite and 2010 first-round pick, may be leaving the Rangers, but his time on Broadway is coming to an end with a whimper.

McIlrath was placed on waivers by the Blueshirts on Thursday, giving the other teams until Friday at noon to claim him and take over the remaining portion of his one-year, $800,000 contract.
