After two seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers fired Darvin Ham on Friday, and rumors have it that LeBron James was involved in the decision.
Though the idea has been floated before in relation to James and his previous head coaches, one ESPN anchor has had enough.
On Friday’s episode of “Pardon the Interruption,” ESPN’s Michael Wilbon acknowledged that his personal friendship with Ham may have influenced him, but his remarks were still important.
“What do you know? I’m upset. Wilbon said, “I’ve known Darvin Ham for a very long time. “He’s a terrific man and an extremely skilled coach. Everyone, including LeBron and Anthony Davis, praised him for leading a club that had done nothing the year before and missed the playoffs to the conference finals last year. And now, without warning, the two of them accuse him.
