Deion Sanders, a former Cowboys cornerback and probably one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, is taking his head coaching career to the next level. Sanders was named head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes over the weekend, following three seasons at FCS school Jackson State, which recently finished a 12-0 regular season. Sanders built the Jackson program to a strong level, finishing 27-5.
Sanders, a Hall of Fame player who spent five seasons in Dallas (1995-99), is one of the most legendary players in league history and will undoubtedly provide a significant lift to a Colorado club that finished 1-11 this season.
