Sad news: It has been officially revealed that the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals will be terminating his contract.

During his news conference on Friday, Kliff Kingsbury was asked a question on his experiences as a head coach.

“Ten years,” Kingsbury replied, cutting the question off for a while. “Feels like 100.”

The Cardinals coach has already stated, as he did again on Friday, that he would rather coach in the NFL than in college. However, he conceded that, unlike college teams, where problems are typically related to skipping workouts or classes, “every issue here is usually a real-life issue.”

“It feels a little bit heavier, but it’s also kind of out of your control.”

and give the impression that a 10-year coaching career is significantly longer.

The Cardinals have already had to deal with Kyler Murray’s ACL rupture, general manager Steve Keim’s leave of absence, and now former offensive line coach Sean Kugler’s arbitration request following his firing on the trip to Mexico City, which he claims was an unfair termination. In addition, Mike Leach, the college coach at Kingsbury, passed away.

“You just try to stay focused on what you can control, and that’s the work and the players and that’s it,” Kingsbury stated. “You have to compartmentalize when you show up and be professional and continue to try and win games.”

Vice president of player personnel Quentin Harris and vice president of pro personnel Adrian Wilson are currently filling in for Keim, and although Kingsbury expressed his disappointment for Keim, he also said that “I have a great appreciation for Steve and always will” and that they share a similar relationship.

“Everyone wants to give this organization their best effort,” stated Kingsbury.

In an effort to defend his record, Kugler has made public his plea for NFL arbitration regarding the event. He claims it was inaccurate that he had touched a female security guard improperly.

The Cardinals issued a statement regarding Kugler’s request: “As an ongoing legal matter, we are going to refrain from comment other than to say the team is confident the process will result in a much different set of facts than those presented today and that it had good cause to terminate Mr. Kugler’s employment.”
