LeBron James is unhappy due to coming back of an all-time player.

Following Wednesday’s crushing defeat against the Houston Rockets, LeBron James attributed the Los Angeles Lakers’ disjointed start to the NBA season to injuries.

At Toyota Center, the Lakers lost their fourth straight game, 128-94, to drop to 3-5 on the season and 0-3 on their current four-game road trip.

James played 27 minutes on the floor and finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. With the game already over, James rested for the entire fourth quarter.

All season long, Los Angeles has struggled with player availability; as a result, players like Anthony Davis, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jaxson Hayes, Gabe Vincent, and Jalen Hood-Schifino missed Wednesday’s game.

It has been challenging for the NBA’s all-time leading scorer to evaluate the Lakers’ inconsistent start to 2023–24 due to those selection concerns.

James stated, “I don’t have an assessment,” following the match. “After all, without our unit, we cannot develop cohesion.

That’s how easy it is. Simply put, our injury list is really short.”

According to reports, Los Angeles is hoping Davis will make a comeback for Friday’s game against the Phoenix Suns, which will mark the end of the Lakers’ challenging road trip and be their first group-play match of the new in-season tournament.

The Lakers are going through a difficult time, according to head coach Darvin Ham, but the club can’t afford to feel sorry for itself.

“We’re juggling different circumstances, guys being in and out of the lineup,” Ham stated. “But at the end of the day, no one is going to feel sorry for you, especially when you’re a Los Angeles Laker.”

“I think we just need to relax and figure out the root of where we’re going to start trending in the right direction,” added point guard D’Angelo Russell.

Getting well is one, in my opinion. Just two, having fun for each other. Having that mentality that we’re going to play for each other and make things easy for one other, I believe that’s where it all starts.”
