He is back. The Hamilton Tiger Cat have just announced the return of their former head coach

A few well-known names are among the 2019 coaching staff members announced by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Orlondo Steinauer, the rookie head coach, has hired Mark Washington as the defensive coordinator and brought back Tommy Condell as the receivers coach.

Dennis McPhee and Corey Grant, two seasoned assistants, are leaving the squad.

“We are deeply appreciative of the commitment and diligence shown by Dennis ‘Deke’ McPhee, Corey Grant, Jerry Glanville, Frank Ganz Jr., Will Fields, and Robert Lyles during their time with the Tiger-Cats,” Steinauer stated. “We wish them all the best in the future; they are all great men who made significant contributions to our accomplishments as an organization.”

Returning to Hamilton as the special teams coordinator is Jeff Reinebold. After playing in the same capacity for the BC Lions in 2018, the 63-year-old rejoins the Tiger-Cats. The Ticats fired Reinebold in the middle of 2017, several months after he accepted the position of defensive coordinator.

Randy Melvin has taken McPhee’s position as defensive line coach, and Robin Ross has been designated coach of Hamilton’s linebackers.

Craig Butler is the defensive backs coach and special teams assistant, while Dennis McKnight continues to lead the offensive line.

Assistant receivers coach and offensive quality control Jarryd Baines has been named.
