Gannon coached in Super Bowl 57 at State Farm Stadium while serving as the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator in 2021 and 2022.

Personal: When Gannon was a freshman at Louisville, he had a hip injury during his first collegiate start that necessitated surgery, ending his football career.
Gannon excelled in basketball and track and field at Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, where he was named an All-State defensive back. He led Saint Ignatius’ basketball team to its first-ever state championship as a senior in 2001.
He also excelled in the long jump and 110-meter hurdles, leading Saint Ignatius to its first-ever track and field state championship in the same year. 2011 saw the induction of Gannon into the Saint Ignatius Sports Hall of Fame.
Gannon believes that Chuck Kyle, the head coach of his high school, produced a book titled “The Object of the Game” that serves as a manual for managing a football team.
