Another incredibly fantastic acquisition has just been announced by the head coach of Rutgers football

Greg Schiano, the head coach of Rutgers and the school’s all-time leader in coaching victories throughout his two stints as head coach, has extended his contract through the 2030–21 season. Schiano, 57, led the program to prominence from 2001 to 2011 and is currently completing the fourth year of his second time at Rutgers. With the Scarlet Knights, who play Miami in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl on December 28 at Yankee Stadium in New York, he is 86-95 overall.

After the 2019 season, Rutgers signed Schiano to an eight-year, $32 million contract. The new deal will pay him $6.25 million in 2024. Despite losing its last four games after starting the season 6-2, Rutgers produced 13 All-Big Ten players, which is the second-highest number in team history.

Rutgers’ eighth bowl game under Schiano will take place in the Pinstripe Bowl. In its history, the program has only made four other trips to the bowl. Pat Hobbs, the athletic director, stated in a statement, “This is a great day for Rutgers athletics.” “Coach Schiano has changed our program in just four years, and this year we are bowl eligible. When creating successful programs, continuity is essential. To guide the Scarlet Knights in the upcoming years, we have the ideal personnel and captain.”
