Two of UConn Women’s Basketball’s top players have finally been automatically disowned for signing and aggressively joining another team.
After the Huskies made it to the Final Four, starting players Aaliyah Edwards and Nika Mühl left the UConn women’s basketball team to play in the WNBA.
Although Geno Auriemma and his staff have three freshmen coming up, it appears like they plan to add more players via the transfer portal. Point guard Kaitlyn Chen of Princeton, who registered on the portal as a graduate student, has long piqued the curiosity of UConn.
In a social media post, reporter Talia Goodman of The Next stated that Chen spent Tuesday touring UConn while on the Storrs campus. Chen, a previous Ivy League Player of the Year, led Princeton, coached by former UConn guard Carla Berube, to an average of 15.8 points and 4.9 assists.

Additionally, Sarah Strong, Morgan Cheli, and Allie Ziebell will be freshman at UConn. The top player in the Class of 2024 is 6-foot-2 forward Strong, who may start for the upcoming campaign.
