Sad news: Pittsburgh Pirates’s greatest-known player faces a six-month suspension after it has been demonstrated that he had an affair with a teammate’s wife
After a raccoon assault, a Pirates outfielder discloses his wife’s “extremely rare” blood illness and requests prayers.
According to Travis Swaggerty, a rabid raccoon assaulted his wife last year.
A blood illness that is “extremely rare” and “painful” has been detected in Travis Swaggerty’s wife, a Pittsburgh Pirates prospect, more than a year after the animal attacked her.
The Pirates Triple-A affiliate, the Indianapolis Indians, are Swaggerty’s team. He sent a lengthy message on Twitter requesting “support and prayers” for his wife, Peyton Swaggerty, while she continues treatment for her illness.
It has utterly destroyed her quality of life and left her with a ton of unsolved issues and agony. I wanted to post this to remind everyone to appreciate everything in life, even the small things, and to ask for prayers and support for her. She has always had unwavering faith and confidence in God. If you feel moved to do so, kindly spend some time in prayer for her, asking the doctors to provide her with some consolation and, in the end, a cure.”
After meeting at Swaggerty’s collegiate baseball game, the University of South Alabama, the couple was married in December 2020.
No matter what condition his wife is in, Swaggerty’s wife “always makes sure she’s mom first,” he shared in a separate message on social media on Wednesday.
“She fights through everything she’s feeling to be the best mom she can be.”
