Positive news: The boston celtics former head coach announced his return.
As he ‘awaits censure from the organization,’ Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka has said that he will not be leaving his post.
According to reports, Udoka could miss the entire season due to an inappropriate and consenting relationship with a female staff member.
Chris Haynes claims that although it was previously stated that he was thinking of leaving, he will now wait to do so while he awaits punishment from the team.
The top NBA insider tweeted, “Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka will not be resigning from his position as he awaits sanction from the organization, league sources tell @NBAonTNT.”
Actress Nia Long, who gave birth to the couple’s baby in 2015, and Udoka, who guided the Celtics to the NBA Finals in June, had been engaged for years. But according to Brandon Robinson of Bally Sports, Long and Udoka were “believed to have been separated prior to current issue.”
According to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, he had thought about perhaps quitting, and staff and coaches are preparing for a one-year suspension.
On Thursday, Wojnarowski reiterated his earlier statement, stating that Udoka is “probably facing a suspension for the entire 20223-2023 season.”
According to the initial allegation by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Udoka had ‘an improper intimate and consensual connection’ with a female member of the team staff. Since then, ESPN and SI have matched that information.
Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe has reported that Udoka will be suspended due to a breach of team policy; however, his sources did not disclose the nature of the infraction.
