The Memphis Grizzlies had a terrible start to the 2023 season, dropping their first six games before eventually triumphing on November 5th over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Grizzlies have the poorest record in the NBA after losing to the Utah Jazz on Friday night, dropping Memphis to 1-8.

In comparison to Memphis’ 13 trips to the charity stripe, Utah made 29 trips to the free-throw line. In the third quarter, Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson was given two technical fouls, which led to his dismissal.

Jimmy Butler, the Heat star, slaps back at Courtside Helfer, saying, “I bought my house in cash.”

Following the game, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins, who was also given a technical foul, vented about the refereeing.

“Get in the saddle. Among the worst officiated games I’ve ever seen,” Jenkins remarked. “Make a note of it. That’s okay with me. F—— horrible.

“Jaren Jackson spends the entire evening in the paint, playing 23 minutes. One of the most skilled players in our league receives a double technical foul; his defense, according to me, is that he is abusing the official.”

Ja Morant, the top guard for the Grizzlies, will miss the first 25 games of the 2023–23 season due to an apparent gun flashing on social media in a second incident.

In addition, their big man, Steven Adams, is sidelined for the season due to knee surgery.

Jenkins went on, “Our team is competing their asshole off.” “They compete fiercely, and this is the outcome? The way the officials and I are currently interacting is totally disrespectful.”

Although Utah’s victory ended a four-game losing run, Memphis managed to reenter the game in the fourth quarter after taking a 21-point lead.
