We are entering a new era. Sandy Brondello, the new head coach of the New York Liberty, was formally introduced to the media and Liberty supporters on Friday afternoon.
Clara Wu Tsai, the NY Liberty Board of Governors, and General Manager Jonathan Kolb discuss why @SBrondello is the ideal coach to guide the Liberty to future success.

Regarding joining Liberty:

Regarding the requirements for Liberty

Regarding the use of Betnijah Laney and Sabrina Ionescu in the offense:
“That’s still a work in progress, but you know they’ll be a big part of the offense. Because they’re a big part of the action, it’s more about positioning them where they can succeed in the offense.”
Regarding the increasing quantity of female WNBA coaches:
It has great significance. Everybody here is a coach. We are basketball coaches—we are neither male nor female coaches. Nevertheless, it’s encouraging to see women gaining those chances. former athletes being granted those chances.

General Manager Jonathan Kolb stated that Liberty will be active when free agency opens on January 15.

The co-governor of Liberty, Clara Wu Tsai, was also present for the press conference.
