By hiring a new world class player , i think the Lakers has done a good move.
Five-time NBA champion and former WNBA coach Derek Fisher will now attempt to lead an all-boys prep school in Encino.
Fisher was appointed head basketball coach at Crespi Carmelite High School, according to a formal statement made by Brian Bilek, the director of athletics at the institution.
“Coach Fisher’s Christian faith-based discipline, leadership, and strong work ethic are valuable assets to Crespi,” stated Bilek. Under Coach Fisher’s direction, “Crespi Basketball is now ready to boldly enter a new era with a program poised to continue its tradition of excellence.”

Fisher has been a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors.
Matt McDonald said in Lakers Nation, “He had a reputation for being one of the best leaders for the Lakers, and Kobe Bryant even named him his favorite teammate.”
He began leading the New York Knicks in 2014. However, following the team’s worst season in franchise history, he was sacked in 2016. He was brought on by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2018, and he played for the team until a portion of the 2022 campaign.
