Gabe Kapler has just announced another monstrous addition to his team as he tends to solidify his team walls with this monumental deal.

The San Francisco Giants, who have lost 10 of their last 13 games, have dropped from three games behind the leaders to eight and a half behind. They struggle to field their positions and score runs.

Manager Gabe Kapler mentioned energy on Sunday as another component that requires modernization.

“Over the last few weeks, I don’t think we’ve brought our best levels of energy to the ballpark, and when that happens, I think it’s important to examine where we’re spending our energy,” Kapler stated.

After 2021’s historic 107-win season, Kapler’s club is now 40-37. Prior to Oracle Park’s series finale versus the White Sox, he stated that the energy should be used more constructively.

You don’t seem to be in your greatest energy state, so why not? Where are you spending your non-helpful money? stated Kapler. “And one thing that I believe we can all do is redirect our energy from things we have no control over to our teammates and other athletes.

For illustration, you may invest some time over the course of an inning to analyze the umpire’s ruling and determine if it was a ball or a strike. Alternatively, you may direct the same amount of energy toward a teammate who requires assistance or push the envelope on his behalf.

The Giant with the longest tenure, first baseman Brandon Belt, was informed of Kapler’s remarks and stated that all players need to improve.

“Our play, or team energy, hasn’t been up to our standards or anybody’s standards, and that’s pretty obvious,” Belt remarked. “I believe we need to take a slightly more proactive approach, reverse that a little, and get things back on track.

Often, all it takes is a shift in perspective. We are aware of the steps we must take to play well outside. We simply need to accept that this won’t be a flawless season for us, but we still need to win games, and we have the team to accomplish it.

Although Kevin Gausman and Buster Posey are absent for the Giants, the majority of the players on the roster were part of the squad the previous season. The most noticeable exceptions are the newcomers Joc Pederson and Carlos Rodón, while the vast majority of the returning players have declined statistically.

The Giants’ analytics-driven staff can easily quantify stats, but measuring energy levels is a different story. The eye test is the primary means by which they are evaluated and valued, and Kapler has seen enough to conclude that the energy isn’t where it ought to be.

“For instance, we can discuss field conditions, but there will inevitably be difficulties for both parties in the field,” Kapler stated. Are we using that energy to get angry at some of the things that are beyond our control and sort of throwing up our hands? Or are we using that energy constructively for the group? Are we using that energy to challenge ourselves and channel it?

“If we’re all doing that, it can be as easy as a guy failing to make a defensive play, and instead of being angry, approaching that player and telling him how excellent he is, how much we’ve depended on him in the past, and how much we will continue to depend on him going forward. That’s a fast method to make these things better.

Neither players, especially veterans, who could encourage others or any specific players in need of an energy boost were mentioned by Kapler.
