AFTER MUCH DISAPPOINTMENT:AND BECAUSE OF UNFINISHED deals HAMILTON TIGERS CATS HEAD COACH DECIDED TO RETIRE.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have a lot of questions going into the off-season after the franchise once again fell short of the championship aspirations that followed a series of high-profile transactions last winter.

It was meant to be this year. The Ticats appeared destined to win their first Grey Cup in almost a quarter of a century, and they were going to do it in front of their supporters at Tim Hortons Field, led by a potential first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The season then began.

The offensive coordinator was fired, the club lost six of their first nine games, the quarterback sustained an injury, and the injury returned. Under head coach Orlondo Steinauer, they came back, but it wasn’t enough.

This season ended in an East Semi-Final loss in Montreal, just like the previous one did, despite all the fanfare and anticipation.

If the Tiger-Cats want to be in the running for a title in 2024, they have a lot of crucial questions to address. These are the four main queries that the team will be addressing this winter.

Any question you may have at the most crucial point in the game takes precedence over any others you might have to respond to.

It appears like the Tiger-Cats and Bo Levi Mitchell are having a divorce just a year after they started dating based on his remarks made in the post-game after the playoff loss to the Alouettes.

The following step will be fascinating for Mitchell. If he determines that his playing days are done, he’ll probably end up on television. Mitchell is a natural and would be a great addition to the panel and even the booth if you’ve watched any of the TSN playoff coverage in recent years.

The options outside of Hamilton are even less appealing for him if he wants to continue playing. Six teams seem fully committed to their starting lineups for the upcoming season: B.C., Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Saskatchewan, and Edmonton. Calgary is obviously not an option. That leaves only Ottawa, a squad that is presumably tired of playing quarterbacks who are prone to injuries.

There aren’t many choices available to Hamilton outside Mitchell. They may ride with Taylor Powell and assemble the team around him with the savings from his rookie contract. Recently, B.C. and Toronto have found success with Nathan Rourke and Chad Kelly, respectively, using this tactic. It would be silly to think of Powell as the next Rourke or Kelly, but even having a mediocre Both north and south of the border, starting quarterback on a rookie contract has shown to be a successful roster-building strategy.

There aren’t many good possibilities outside the facility if the squad decides to search for their 2024 starter. In addition, the Ticats may use the free-agent market to make Winnipeg backup Dru Brown their starting quarterback, as they did ten years ago when they replaced Zach Collaros for Henry Burris. McLeod Bethel-Thompson has indicated his desire to return to the CFL.

It looks like the Ticats’ winter quarterback switch will be fun to watch, and it will be interesting to see how it affects the other players on the team.
