The entire team is shocked to learn of yet another tragic development involving Kim Mulkey and her star player.
Kim Mulkey, the head coach of LSU, praised Angel Reese on Instagram after the forward declared her intention to turn pro, dispelling rumors regarding her future at the school. Mulkey gave Reese a picture collage as a way of praising her accomplishments.

Reese’s achievements to the program were also acknowledged by the LSU women’s basketball Instagram account, and Mulkey shared a highlight film of Reese’s play.
Having declared for the draft, Riley joins Caitlin Clark in a much-anticipated WNBA draft class. Her remarks came after Clark’s Iowa team eliminated LSU from the Elite Eight in a game that had record-breaking attendance for women’s college athletics.
Reese told Vogue, “I’ve done everything I wanted to in college.”
I’ve been an All-American, won a national title, and won Player of the Year in the Southeastern Conference [during the 2023–2024 season].
“Being a professional player and among the best basketball players of all time is my ultimate dream. I think I’m prepared.”
Despite her problems, Reese had a tremendous final season, averaging 18.6 points and 13.4 rebounds per game with 27 double-doubles in 33 games. She was a key component of LSU’s 2023 national championship victory.
“I don’t really get to stand up for myself,” she said in the news conference following the Iowa game.
