SAD NEWS: I believe that by dismissing this amazing mythology, warriors are seriously in…

At Chase Center on Thursday, the Warriors overcame a 127-100 deficit to win Game 2, led by 30 points and eight 3-pointers from Klay Thompson. The Warriors had a 55-40 edge on the glass, shot 50 percent from three point range (21-42) and led by as many as 32 points in the win.

Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr expressed confidence in his team’s potential to recover before to Game 2 by saying:

“We just experienced a 2-0 series deficit against Sacramento. We were defeated at home in Game 1 of the Boston series in last year’s Finals. So for our crew, this is nothing new. Despite all the clamor, we are aware of our capabilities.”

After losing Game 1, the Warriors are now the 16th consecutive playoff club to win Game 2 at home.

In order to give the Warriors room to spread the floor while maintaining a two-big man advantage, Steve Kerr started JaMychal Green in place of Kevon Looney. This season, Green has only made one start at the starting point (against Utah on December 7), and his only other playoff start came in Game 6 of the Los Angeles Clippers’ 2019 Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Warriors. The fact that Kevon Looney tried to play despite feeling under the weather before the game may have had an impact on the lineup adjustment.

Starting the game well, JaMychal Green scored 15 points and drained three 3-pointers, falling short of his season highs in both scoring (18 points) and three-point field goals (4).

SECOND-QUARTER SPLASH BARRAGE
With a 12-2 run to start the second quarter, the Warriors led by three points. Donte DiVincenzo and Klay Thompson both made three-pointers during the run, and Stephen Curry completed it with a layup. The Warriors outscored the Lakers 19–41–22 in the second quarter thanks to nine three-pointers.

FIRST-HALF TONE SET BY SPLASH BROTHERS
In the first half, Stephen Curry had eight assists, which tied his high for the most in a half this season, while Klay Thompson scored 19 points and drained five threes. During the half, Curry’s teammates made 8 of 10 shots off of his assists. In Game 1, Curry committed five mistakes for every three assists, but in Game 2, Curry only committed three turnovers while dishing up 12 assists.

SHARING THE LEAD UNTIL 30
In the opening five minutes of the third quarter, the Warriors made four additional 3-pointers, demonstrating their continuing hot shooting. The Warriors went up 8-2 and took an 18-point lead after Klay Thompson’s sixth 3-pointer. In the third quarter, the Warriors scored 43 points and made 8 of 10 three-pointers, increasing their lead to 30 points.
