Due to a serious matter at hand, key players have been brought back to the team.
The Eredivisie leaders are expected to receive approaches for their Belgian star, Johan Bakayoko, and PSV Eindhoven are expecting him to go this summer, according to the Telegraaf. Bakayoko is still performing at the Philips Stadion, but PSV will only consider offers in the range of €40–50 million.
Following Donyell Malen, Cody Gakpo, and Noni Madueke, Johan Bakayoko is expected to join one of Europe’s “major leagues” as a winger. The 20-year-old’s season total of 11 goals and 14 assists across all competitions is already a significant increase over his 15 goal contributions from the previous campaign. The Belgium international has a deal with PSV that runs through 2026.
It was reported earlier this week that Borussia Dortmund had contacted Johan Bakayoko’s group about the potential for a summer transfer. Bakayoko reportedly turned down approaches from Paris Saint-Germain for the player in January and the summer before, choosing instead to remain at PSV. With an earlier bid of almost €40 million for the winger, Brentford was also vying for his services. The right winger is having yet another fantastic season at Eindhoven, and this summer, he will most likely be moving.
