SAD NEWS: After bashing their team announcer to death for just two reasons, two Indianapolis Colts players were suspended and placed under custody.

Two players who were suspended by the Colts on Tuesday will miss the rest of the regular season.

The organization announced that wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and cornerback Tony Brown had received three-game suspensions for actions that were detrimental to the team.

On Tuesday, Indianapolis placed both players on the reserve/suspended list; however, the team did not disclose the specific behavior that led to the players’ permanent suspensions.

Brown and McKenzie were both deemed healthy scratches for the Colts’ Week 15 matchup with the Steelers.

After playing with the Bills for the past five seasons, McKenzie, 28, is in his debut season with the Indianapolis Colts. This season, he has appeared in 13 games; Sunday’s absence marked his first game missed this year. For the season, he has 11 receptions for 82 yards.

Brown has played in 12 games this season; however, he has only started one. This season, the 28-year-old defensive back has racked up 10 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble. Brown plays a significant role on special teams, where he accounts for over 70% of the team’s playing time.

The players who are suspended will be ineligible for the next three games of the season, which means they will miss games against the Falcons, Raiders, and potentially the rival Texans in the regular-season finale, which could decide the division.
