Heartbreak News,The head coach and two all-time players of the LSU women’s basketball have announced their departure.

Coach Kim Mulkey of LSU women’s basketball made it very clear that nobody wants to be a part of the “ugly” altercation that occurred at the conclusion of Sunday’s SEC championship game versus South Carolina.

In the press conference that followed USC’s 79-72 victory over LSU, Mulkey, however, also chastised USC center Kamilla Cardoso for her involvement in the altercation, calling it “uncalled for.”

During the fourth-quarter confrontation, Cardoso shoved LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson to the ground and was dismissed.

Mulkey stated that Johnson had earlier been “jawing” with another USC player when she purposefully fouled MiLaysia Fulwiley, a guard, to stop her from stealing the ball and scoring. Cardoso shoved Johnson after they collided into Ashlyn Watkins of USC.

It’s what I’ll tell you, Mulkey said. Cardoso should have pushed Angel Reese, in my opinion. You’re 6–8 years old; don’t push a kid. Don’t underestimate someone. I thought that was uncalled for. Allow the two girls who were chatting to each other to continue.

Here are some additional comments Mulkey made regarding the altercation that was widely reported.

Kim Mulkey talks about squabbles
Now, allow me to clarify. With two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, did you know that each team was only called for one foul? Are you joking with me?

Some of that may have originated from that. We won’t play that way; we’ll dirty your ass. Not the way they play, which will cause them to foul you. However, you only let out that whistle once. Consider that right now.

“From what I could see, Flau’jae deliberately fouled Fulwiley because she had stripped her.” That was a great move since she will immediately score a layup. Following that, there was some back-and-forth between Johnson and another USC player. The next thing I knew, Cardoso had simply sidetracked her.

I believe Flau’jae’s brother emerged from the bleachers, and he was attempting to stop him from acting strangely, so I fled. However, that’s all I know.

From my bench, I am unable to determine how many people departed the court. They obviously witnessed it on film and ordered everyone out. And after that, I believe one South Carolina player remained on the bench.
